Provide full support for pasting Excel table

Currently when user pastes an Excel table, it may not get pasted properly in Body field of Mail template. It may appear as bitmap/image or table may be distorted.

Further the coloring on cells may be different and whole table may not be properly formatted. So there is an Enhancement Request to provide full support for pasting Excel table in body of mail.

Additional Information:-

Excel tables are very complex and Body filed in Mail template is not designed to handle everything what Excel does. Body field is designed to handle simple tables and you can paste simple tables in it. Although Excel data may appear as table but it is far more complex than simple tables due to different formulae used in Excel. Body function in Mail template cannot support all these formulae and hence pasting of Excel table may not always work. Users are requested to send the Excel file as an attachment and not in the body of mail.

This Enhancement Request was submitted for Notes Client V11.
