HCL Domino Ideas Portal

Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Interpret DPI in imported PNG files

If you take a screenshot on a high-DPI screen (namely, a Mac), the PNG will be 144ppi. If you then do Create -> Picture in a rich-text field in Notes, it will take the naive approach of just using the raw pixel dimensions and the image will appear doubled in each dimension compared to how it appeared on-screen.

Since the PPI information is embedded in the PNG file, Notes could use this to either resample the image or adjust its scaling. Admittedly, down-scaling such an image in Notes to 50% doesn't look amazing, but that's a separate topic.
