Upgrading the multi-user Notes Client from V9 orV10 TO V11 version and determining the data directory.





Firstly, upgrading the multi-user Notes Client v9or v10 TO V11 version is possible.



While up-gradation of multi-user Notes Client from the V9 to V11, the data directory will be in the IBM folder.



Notes® data files installation directory for each user is as below.



C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\IBM\Notes\data



Since the notation has been changed to HCL in the V11, the requirement is, either the HCL folder has to be created and copy the existing data directory in it while upgrading the Notes Client from V9,10 to V11.

or rename the existing IBM folder to the HCL folder without manual intervention while upgrading the Notes Client for multi-user up-gradation.

C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\HCL\Notes\data
