Data access is managed at the ACL level, so if you want someone else to get access to your mail file but not being able to get access to documents in a folder, this would not work. e.g. it would still be possible to create a view that will include all documents.
So if you want to protect a subset of documents, move them to another NSF where the ACL is restricted.
=> no plans to implement, however please continue voting for this idea if you think this should be done.
