Notes for Linux would be amazing. Also next year will be the true year of Linux Desktop, since Windows 10 will be EOL and a lot of people do not really want to migrate to Windows 11.

Getting 9.0.1 on Linux nowadays is nightmare and does not work well.

Other option is to install the Basic client in wine, but it has some network issues and the Standard client is not usable, its too slow.

Another options is winapps via virtual machine, but that is extra work, same with having Windows VM with just Notes.

So some kind of .deb package would be really nice. Just click on "build to Linux deb" package and thats it ;D

Again a wrong decision. This cuts all the possibilities for docker images for development. It's remarkable how this product is forced to die.

If you only need a solution for 1 client, who is running Linux, then it's probably easiert to run Virtualbox or VMWare Workstation on that Linux machine and run a VM with a Notes client inside.

Nomad is great - but it is a server based solution. I have a dozen clients I support only one of them uses linux on the desktop so I can use nomad there, but the other 11 use windows - I will have a hard time convincing them that the expense/resources setting up Nomad are worth it just to accommodate my needs. Of course I still would need wine or virtualbox for the admin and designer clients, but having a native linux client would let me access the logs, NABs and databases that I work with on a daily basis.

Please take a look at Nomad Web. It also runs in a browser on Linux.

Linux should be a fully functioning client.  It is without doubt my preference for domino servers.

Unless of coarse you want Microsoft to take more market share.  Give them an inch and they will...

It's a pity ("will not implement") given the number of votes. Domino4Wine simply doesn't do the trick. I bought myself a license which was a complete waste of money as it is not maintained. Fails from 9.0.1FP6 on ... .

I think we will have to wait until HCL converts the Notes client into a PWA enabled app.

Starting with Feature Pack 8 we stopped enhancing the Linux client due to market indicators.

Even an unsupported version for "Geeks" / Developers would help.
