HCL Domino Ideas Portal

Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Enhance the compatibility of Notes client to open ICS files

When open the sample ICS file via Notes client, it fails with error "Notes cannot process your file. The content of this URL does not conform to the iCalendar parsing specification" .

The error message means the ICS file is not properly formed, most likely missing some mandatory content.

We do see Warnings & Errors if we use following tool to validate the ICS file.

https://icalendar.org/validator.html

But this ICS file can be open via Outlook client normally. We hope to enhance the compatibility of Notes client to open ICS files.
