The compatibility of Notes client to open ICS files

Details:When open an ICS file via Notes client, it fails with error "Notes cannot process your file. The content of this URL does not conform to the iCalendar parsing specification" .

The error message means the ICS file is not properly formed, most likely missing some mandatory content.

We do see Warnings & Errors if we use following tool refer attachment screenshot to validate the ICS file.

But this ICS file can be open via Outlook client normally. We hope to enhance the compatibility of Notes client to open ICS files.

The ics file reproduces the problem.

Hope Notes emails can support more formats used by users.

Domino is a good platform and its functions adhere to standard specifications, but users prefer user-friendly functions. In the early days, Lotus replaced cc:mail with Notes Mail. Notes Mail was also a strong email platform in the early days, but is it still a strong email platform now? Just like Smartsuite quit.

Is Notes being more generous, not outlook

I hope that the functions of Notes/Domino can be more user-friendly and make the operation easier. Allow users to accept again

I have rarely seen that behaviour and could think of Oulook being more generous. Notes seems to be very strict. As the validator also shows errors (which are?), maybe the file has just a wrong charset? Where are the ics files from?

I think we need more information here.
