Blacklist / whitelist file attachment types via mail policy for the Notes client

We'd like to see a blacklist and whitelist in the Domino Directory mail policy settings to disable certain attachment types in email.

It would be perfect to have a

  • blacklist (attachment file types that are not allowed) and perhaps a

  • whitelist (attachment file types that are allowed)

to specify the forbidden or allowed file types when composing/sending an email.

Example:

For security reasons we do not allow

  • *.doc or

  • *.xls

file types when sending email to the internet or internally in Notes/Domino.

The user would be warned in the same manner as if the attachment exceeds a certain file size.


  • Attach files
