Instead of "Note item not found" error. Notes Client should prompt "Attachment is Corrupted" and much more clearer when a user encounter a error if any attached file is corrupted.
This will help for the user to identify the issue easier and could move forward like (resending email, removing attachment to the email, etc.)
Sorry Thomas, but attachments do get corrupted all of a sudden.
It’s a long standing issue!
in case content is being damaged then it needs further investigation because it is indicating a problem outside of the Notes/Domino environment. Attachments don't get damaged all of a sudden. There is a reason you should investigate the root cause.
