In the current circumstances, when a user attempts to schedule a meeting with five or more individuals from different departments, it can become exceedingly challenging to identify a suitable time slot that aligns with everyone's availability and presence in the office.
It would be beneficial to have the option to indicate your current work location in your Notes calendar. This would allow users to indicate their availability for the day, ensuring that they can, or cannot be reached in the office for on-site meetings.
One possible solution would be to add a new entry to the user's calendar, alongside the existing options for appointment, all-day-event, reminder, anniversary, or meeting invitation. The new form will allow users to select a date, specify repeating days and location (office or remote), in a way that is similar to the all-day-event. If the user has created the entry, they will still be available for meetings.
In the Meeting Scheduling view, the status of the remote work location is indicated by a different colour in the "Find Available Times" view. For example, the colour blue is used to indicate a remote location.
This is the key differentiating factor in comparison to the current capabilities of the notes calendar.
The ability to identify whether a user is working remotely or in the office would significantly improve the efficiency of scheduling meetings.
