Hello everyone,
From my perspective, there are several outstanding third-party vendors whose solutions truly enhance and complement the HCL Notes/Domino ecosystem. Products like OnTime Group Calendar, Huddo Boards, MarvelClient and others offer valuable functionality that goes far beyond individual features.
Some of these tools/solutions are even included in the HCL installers, allowing you to use them in a free or entitled version—while certain advanced capabilities may require licensing (like this request here), but the important message is: the functionality is available right now.
What’s especially important to highlight is that these tools/solutions can significantly improve the overall user experience. For example, if you're interested not just in local database maintenance but in centralized HCL Notes Client Management, MarvelClient can help streamline operations and reduce the time spent on administrative tasks—resulting in a true win-win scenario.
I’d be happy to explore how MarvelClient can optimize your specific HCL Notes Client infrastructure. Let’s connect if you're curious!
WIth best regards
Christoph
P. S. @Thomas Hampel, maybe we do need a status like "Already exist with 3rd Party solution".
If a 3 party able to deliver the feature mark it as "already exist", ....well then it is not exactly the answer I was hoping for...
Can we mark this idea as 'already exists' then ?
Hello,
it's not only a question of file sizes but also a question of healthy local databases which directly leads to a better stability and performance of the Notes client.
Running local maintenance (ncompact.exe) periodically (in foreground with a progressbar, silently in background, with different parameters for different database types, etc.) is one MarvelClient's oldest key capabilites. You can have that today.

I hope that helps you.
