Switch location to offline automatically when unable to find a network

For users using Notes managed replica in an organization, with "Replicate/Sync when I shut down the client" enabled in the replication settings, defined by a Desktop Settings policy document in our organization, a problem occurs when the user is working and the server is not unreachable.
When the user closes Notes it tries to sync the local changes to a server and because the server is unreachable, Notes hangs.
To resolve this, they would like Notes to be able to switch to the offline location when it detects that the server is unreachable.
Or have a mechanism where it detects that the server is unavailable and does not try to sync changes to a inaccessible server.

I agree that there should be no error messages if the server is not available for replication but I would NOT like my client to automatically go to offline mode if the server is not available for a few minutes. With this feature I would go offline and work with old data without noticing and my emails would not go out when the server is available again!

Also automaticly disable shedule when in off-line not to generate errors about "not able to replicate".

A hanging app is always a bad user experience.
