Ctrl-A should be a toggle.
Microsoft needs to do this at the OS level even.
Make Ctrl + A a toggle switch. If something is already selected, deselect everything.
Yes, yes, yes... I have a smarticon in my personal Bookmark bar just for that purpose... since.. I don't know... Release 5? What about Shift + Ctrl + A?
Yes please! In addition having an indicator in the UI showing how many documents are currently seletcted!
I had this wish before and posted it in the design partner forum.
A current issue I personally have is that when you do a FT search those documents are still selected.
But in some situations when you navigate in the UI the documents are still selected and when you delete a document you are deleting all other documents selected, not the current document in focus.
So having a visible presentation how many documents are selected with a button to deselect would be very helpfu!
