Would still love to see this. I hate the auto-sending of return receipts; it's always the spammers looking for signs of life. Please at least prompt us to ask if we want to send or not!
I would be great, if that is configurable via profile. E.g.
always send return receipt,
never send,
prompt for each mail,
...
I agree. It’s fine if return receipts are sent on internal emails, but we need an option to *not* send them back to external senders.
I cant tell you the number of times I get spam from companies trying to sell me mailing lists - IBM User Lists, Citrix User Lists, VMware user lists, etc. - and they all return receipt me.
I don't want them to know their mail made it through to me and I opened it. That’s none of their business and they know if they get a person on the other end they can just hound me more. At least if I open it on my Notes client I can intercept the return receipt in my local client’s mail.box, but if I open it on mobile or web, I can’t.
yes please the actually implementation of policy return receipt is absurd
