Because of the notes.ini setting, we consider this idea as shipped. Please submit another idea if you want to change the behaviour for server look up to start with the first character.
Turns out TYPEAHEADSHOWSERVERFIRST=1 changes lookup behavior causing user complaints. Without this setting, users could type 1 character and get address suggestions. With the setting they get nothing until they type 3 characters. Doesn't sound like a big deal but I sure got a lot of calls. I would like this to do a server lookup on the first character entered.
