Support OAuth 2.0 authentication for IMAP

More and more email providers are removing basic authentication when using the POP and IMAP protocols in favour of OAuth 2.0 (e.g. Microsoft are deprecating basic authentication in October 2020).

 

Please add OAuth 2.0 authentication support to IMAP accounts so that we can continue accessing other business related mailboxes from the Notes client.

    Also to relay emails to another platform. Now Domino only has the option to relay emails via basic authentication to an smtp server.

    Other providers require more and more modern authentication methods. Basic authentication is getting deprecated.

    Yes, gmail as well, which means users cannot pull their mails from such providers any more.

Add support for Oauth2 in the notes client

Merged
a lot of our customers are notaries. They have an official o365 mailaccount. It is nessesary to support SMTP with Oauth2 and MFA for them so the can keep using Notes as there mail client.
