Provide Sametime Chat Integration Feature support to MSOffice via the Microsoft Outlook Add-in

Presently Sametime Office Integration (OI) Feature is not supported on 64-bit MSOffice 2010/2013/2016 even though the Sametime Connect Client IS SUPPORTED on 64-bit Windows 10. MEMORIAL HERMANN HEALTH SYSTEM is scheduled to deploy Windows 10 to tens of thousands of PC's in our organization in the next few months. Deployment must be completed by Q4 2019 due to end of support for Windows 7 in early 2020.

The Office Integration features are very important to our users. They have been using Sametime Chat and Meetings for the past 4-5 years and have become reliant on the seamless status updates and meeting alerts that are provided by the OI Feature. In addition, most users send their Chat History to Outlook so they only have to search in one place for conversations, whether IM or email.

    Office Integration (OI) support was removed in v11 and replaced by the Microsoft Outlook Add-in, which supports Sametime Meetings in Outlook. Rather then just closing this idea, we'll be updating to add chat integration to the outlook add-in to consider the additional valued features the OI provided.

    Working with MHHS we have realized that both Office 2016 and Windows 10 are indeed supported. We needed to reference the ST 9.0.1FP1 requirements - beneath 'Supported Software' to see this:

    IBM Sametime Complete 9.0.1 Detailed System Requirements

    However, HMMS would like 64-bit MS Office Integration - where - if we click View icon for each MS Office 2010/2013/0216 - we are seeing "Only Microsoft Office 32bit supported".

    64-bit MS Office Integration is what MHHS would like to see supported.
