Sametime Feature requests

Customer would like to request below features be available in Sametime chat v11.x


1. Pop-up alert received when an attachment was sent by someone

  • Currently, file transfers are now contained in the conversation window.


2. Send a file > 'Send Folder' option is greyed out in 1-to-1 chat

  • Confirmed that this feature was part of Sametime Advanced (v9) and is not applicable in v11.6


3. Font formatting options ( bold, italic, underline, etc ) is greyed-out in group chats

  • Confirmed that this is working as designed

    In current versions of Sametime (v12):

    1. File Transfer results in a notification (like receiving a new chat message)

    2. Send folder is not a supported FT option in version v11 and higher.

    3. This is the result of a user in the group not enabled for rich text. In group chats, all user policies are evaluated and the lowest policy is used for all participants. When all users are evaluated to have rich text, the features will be available.
