$"-signs in address information.

When you use the Sametime with Domino LDAP, find the "$"-signs in the address information.

The LDAP standard schema definition for the attribute "postaladdress" specifies that multiple sections of the address be separated by a $ sign. The Domino LDAP server is consistent with the standard. The Sametime client would need to convert those $ signs into carriage returns.

That definition is fine for a 'multi-line' value - Sametime is not expecting a 'multi-line' value.

For the Sametime Business cards - we have never supported multi-line values. Sametime does support 'multiple attributes' for a given field, but it's expected to be a single line. This is due to space constraints - among other things.

This is currently working as designed from a Sametime perspective - Sametime do not convert these returns.

Currently, the web clients don't show this value at all.

A suggestion is to consider this in a future release.
