Administrative Control to Disable Sametime “Alert Me When Available” Feature

When users want to set a one-time alert to be notified when a contact becomes available online, they can click the contact’s name and navigate to:
Tools → Sametime → Alerts → Alert me when available

Similarly, to set alerts for multiple contacts, users can select one or more contacts and click:
Tools → Sametime → Alerts → Alert Me When

Currently, there is no direct administrative option to disable either of the above features if a customer prefers to turn off this functionality for all users. Since this alert capability may be perceived as a “watch” or “control” mechanism, some organisations may wish to restrict or fully disable it.

We kindly request an enhancement to introduce an administrative setting that allows organisations to centrally disable or manage this alert feature for all users.
