IPv6 Support for Traveler

Today Traveler isn't supported in IPv6 environments.

IMHO we should be prepared for IPv6 in the full collaboration stack and Traveler plays an important role in that space.

IPv6 support could be in multiple stages. I think the most important part would be to fully support it for the communication between the devices and the HTTP task.

Or at least we need official documentation how Traveler could be used with a secure reverse proxy in front of it, which uses IPv6.

IPv6 support should be ubiquitous across the entire HCL product line... especailly on Domino Server (which works amazingly with IPv6). Most cellular networks are IPv6 native. Native IPv6 support in Traveler would make mobile device support over cellular networks better.

At the very least there should be support for enabling IPv6 on the Domino server even if you are not going to support IPv6 for the Traveler service.

That said, there is absolutely no excuse for IPv6 being only "under consideration." You should strive to support all of the core protocols of the Internet, and IPv6 is at the top of that list. Windows and Linux servers prioritize IPv6 over IPv4. That means that supporting this [again] core protocol will actually increase performance.

    Get with it guys.

When will support IPv6 for traveler? More and more customers want to use IPv6.

And we found it was not been supported on Traveler 12.0.2.

Unable to configure HCL Traveler servers with IPv6 addresses.

At this time, IPv6 is not supported by the HCL Traveler server. Support of IPv6 will be evaluated for a future release.
