When user credentials are incorrect, give relevant error as "Username or password incorrect" instead of "Error connecting to server"

In Verse app for mobile (Android & iOS), whenever user enters an incorrect username or password, then Verse says, "Error connecting to server". So there is a feature request that, Verse should show proper error like "Incorrect username or password" instead of "Error connecting to server". The reason is when there is a problem with server connection, it still shows the same error. So it is difficult to understand if the problem is in server connection or username or password is incorrect.

This Enhancement Request is submitted for Verse 12.0.4 version.

In general, the Verse Mobile clients will treat an HTTP 401 response as a userid/password failure. There have been some fixes for this handling in Verse Android. If the error encountered is not a 401 (something like a 500, 503, etc), its not possible for the client to distinguish the type of failure. Any more specifics that can be provided? Is this still occurring?
