Memory optimization feature

When using the Verse App, I found the following:
I downloaded several, even larger files manually. The Verse App thus occupied a storage space of about 950 MB. The performance of the app was very bad. After deleting and reinstalling the app, the memory is still about 115 MB and the performance is again great.

My idea, therefore, is a manual (or automatic) function to reduce memory requirements, e.g. by deleting large attachments from the verse memory (not from the server!).

Furthermore, one should consider once why the performance is so bad at the aforementioned memory requirements.
