It is annoying that this will not implement. All the necessary information is in the names.nsf of the server. The information is shown in the Sametime business card too.
There is an extension allowing you to add more information on the backside of the business card (e.g. twitter account, linkedin, etc). You should be able to use that to get more Connections info if you really want. We don't want the business card to be so 'busy' by default that it becomes overwhelming.
