Still waiting for HCL to implement BIMI in the Notes client. Currently, the signature function does not support vector files of our logo.
Microsoft doesn't want BIMI, they have their own proprietary system, which s****.
I still believe this is a good feature to confirm an e-mail has well been authenticated, DMARC-wize.
The only thing which bothers me is that some providers require the Verified Marc Certificate to show your BIMI / company logo and that certificate is only available at a few providers and it costs 1500 USD/year...
The good thing about the VMC is that you only need one per logo, so if you have 10 domains, all with the same logo, you only have to buy one...
BIMI has become a standard, indispensable for cybersecurity. Adopted by all the largest companies. It's a plus for marketing and security; let's get there before Microsoft, which is the only major competitor missing. Go HCL!
Great HCL, after all the steps forward, the implementation of DKIM and the new 12.0.x versions must absolutely outperform the competition and enable the display of BIMI for both clients and the web side.
HCL should review https://bimigroup.org/ and integrate this into Domino/Notes/Verse. As of now, larger providers such as Gmail DO support BIMI, but Microsoft is NOT as of yet. Beat them to it... differentiate your product to show that you are being proactive and integrating newer protections/features ahead of Microsoft for a change. Domino has been a decade behind in DKIM/SPF features, so step up ahead of the curve on this one please.
I support this suggested feature. I am thinking that all that is technically needed is for the Notes signature to accept the appropriate .svg image. We are testing this now but any way HCL can make this easier would be a welcome feature.
Please implement this ASAP . Thank you
BIMI needs to be in the full stack of all HCL email clients
Indeed, BIMI is an additional layer showing the e-mail comes from a legitimate source.
Security-wize, it's a good thing.
This screenshot shows how it should look like: https://inklupedia.de/images//6/69/IBM_Verse_15790541165_0f56efdd02_o.jpg
After seeing this I was under impression it was already implemented in VOP. Sadly we need to wait.
Not only Verse App, but also Verse (on prem) and of course Notes.
