This idea shipped in Verse 3.2.1
Tue 21-Nov-23
For all of the "Eagle Eyed" amongst you, there will be no surprise in me telling you that HCL Verse 3.2 shipped last week.
HCL Verse is a "Continuous Delivery" product which means that we deliver in an Agile manner. For those of you not familiar with that, it's like a transit system. We line up the features at the transit stop ready for the next release. When the release comes along, we load those features in and off it goes. If a feature does not make it to the transit stop on time, the release will go without it. The feature is then ready and waiting for the next release to come along.
On this occasion, even though we tried really hard, DOMI and Contacts Groups, were not ready in time for the 3.2 release date and therefore did not make it into this release.
Our goal is to make them ready for the next release which is due in Q1 2024.
HCL Verse 3.2 has a few features; pin the folder panel, send a mail with prevent copy & more as well as bug fixes and changes to be part of the Domino 14 release.
You can download HCL Verse 3.2 from either Flexnet (https://hclsw.co/flexnet) or My HCL Software (https://my.hcltechsw.com)
Is there a known release date ? I have a customer waiting for it more then a year now to be able to switch from iNotes to Verse
Are there a date available already, which actual verse version will be raised to include that feature?
Will this feature include the ability to create DOMI Zoom links from Verse Mobile? Multiple clients indicating to me the need to do so when mobile. Thank you for considering this enhancement.
We are working on DOMI for Verse Web at this point
Forget iNotes... what about Verse Mobile and Webmail? That is where this feature is relevant.
No plans to provide this feature in iNotes.
Verse is the user interface where DOMI functionality will be added.
It is very important if you implement this feature in HCL Notes, then it should also be present in iNotes and Verse. Employees work mobile. In order to navigate the session URL, it cannot be the case that an employee first has to start the HCL Notes client because of this. I don't necessarily see a "vote" to start for this, it is a must. Or remove the feature again in HCL Notes v12.0.1.
