Leverage AI model for spell checking and translation

Verse webmail should have the ability to do smart spell checking and translation for text that is being composed as part of new emails.

Suggested Features:

• Selecting Language:

  • Use a pre-trained AI model that auto-detects the correct language.

  • Multiple languages in the same text should be supported.

• Spell Checking:

  • Spell check the whole text all at once, even if it contains different languages. Automatically detect different languages, and check each language with the corresponding spell checker.

  • Suggest most likely correction of a potentially mis-spelled word, based on a pre-trained AI model. (word2vec style)

  • Allow an organization to add their own custom dictionaries in order to reflect their special expertise. (transfer learning)

• Optional Offline Capability

  • Allow optional downloading of spell checking and other language functions, in order to support offline functionality.

• Rephrase things better

  • Allow users to ask the text helper tool for better phrasing in the same language, which may be useful for users that try writing in a non-native language. Leverage a pre-trained AI model to make most likely suggestions.

• Translate language

  • Allow a user to type text in their own language, and translate the selection into another language.

  • When receiving emails, add an option to auto-translate foreign language text to the user's preferred language. Add an option to switch back and forth between the original text and the translation.

  • When replying to an email that was received in foreign language, add an option to automatically translate the reply to the foreign language, that was previously received (e.g. mail received in French, write reply in English, but automatically translate reply to French).

• Observe privacy & data protection

  • Don't upload any user text data to any public cloud services in order to perform data processing. All text processing services should be running on-premises.
