To open archive database using the same interface, you need to open URL https://fqdn/path.nsf/verse . Archive must reside on the same server where mail file replica exists otherwise error messages will appear because VOP tries to get calendar in mail database of the owner of the current database.
Documentation about this behavior is not present. This functionality is not supported by L2 at the moment of writing.
