Ability to have seperated settings for Connections pictures and Connections preview

We would like to have the ability to disable the Attachment preview by Connections Docs, but still want to use the Connections pictures. Now it's on or off for the entire feature.

Calendar to open in read mode

Web links in the description on the web do not work. Most of the time calendar entries being opened do not need to be in edit mode by default. Could there be an option to open in read mode vs edit mode?
