One can make a notification area, similar to DominoDesigner. When sending such commands, add a background completion handler, which will leave completion records in the notification area.
How about displaying a percentage in the line item in a Show Task command?
And by virtue of that, it would also display when you refresh the Tasks tab in the admin client.
The task is carried out by the server, so should the admin client not better release control back to the admin instead of displaying a progress bar ?
