New field type "Source code"

In some cases it is useful to store lotusscript in a text-/richtextfield in a notes document. This source code then is used to execute from a compiled script. This generally works fine.

It would be very helpful if a new field type "Source code" (or similar) would be established. (Or a richtext field with extended functionality.) This new field type should have a syntax checker (no compilation, only syntax checking) and the possibillity to format the source code like in the designer (indentination).

I was working with Sharepoint at a customer, and noticed that this was implemented gracefully. No syntax check, only syntax coloring. The user could select the type of ‘code’ from a dropdown list: css, JavaScript, xml, json, html,…

    Pretty impressive!
