HCL Domino Ideas Portal

Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

@Left or @Right with a negative number (Exists, withdrawn)

Instead of using

@Left(string; @Length(string)-6)

where you have to pass the string or string-expression twice, it would be much easier to be able to just write

@Left(string; -6)

indicating: the left part but the last 6 characters.
Similarly, a call to

@Right(string; -5)

would return the right part of a string without the first 5 characters.

Apparently, the @LeftBack and @RightBack functions cover the functionality that I need.
