Classify Views

In all developments in Lotus Notes we use a lot of views and it's normal repeat views. The idea is make folder classification don't affect of the name of the view from the designer knows which view belogns a dblookup or lotuscript to search something.

I put an example: Customer By Vat , this view is used the form customer, and used by financial department.

(Customer by Vat) is used by a program with viewentry and need to sort of one way , if you change the sort the program can crush. Indicates by virtual folders that is used with this form and need this features.

Views have names and aliases. The alias must never change and must be used when referencing from formulas, LotusScript, or when embedding a view into a form, outline, etc.

You can use the view name to split into folders using the \ character. You can change the view name at any time, because you refer to the view everywhere using an alias.

I put an example and a picture to simulate this.

In this case I've the search of customerarticles, now to organise I put hide view "()" and I put the name, when there're a few is enough but when database is big I need a lot of search and customized view for any user there're a lot and finally is difficult to find. And this idea is to help to IT designer to classify views.

I put an example is a like a folders from the emails. But this is virtual because the idea you can move to another folder without touching the view.

Imagine that I want classify the views for department, If someday one view needs another department I can put this view in another folder without touching the code lotusscript when I work with this view,

    I hope it's possible.

Can you provide a screenshot as an example? I dont understand the problem. It is a common design practice to hide views that are used for programmatic access from users. Take a look at pubnames.ntf where you can see backend views like ($ServerAccess).
