We want to copy design elements such as forms and views to another database.

There are no method to copy design elements (form , subform , view, etc).

The easiest way to access DesignElements by LotusScript is to use the DBDesign Class http://domquery.info/ldd/sandbox.nsf/Threads/F81067F94A1143F3852567D800660625?OpenDocument

This is possible today, unless you have specific requirements that you did not mention.

Use a NotesNoteCollection object to collect design elements in the source database. Each design element can then be accessed as a NotesDocument object which can be copied (or otherwise handled) by invoking the usual methods, like for example CopyToDatabase.
