found workaround by editing a registry key, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_HTTP_USERNAME_PASSWORD_DISABLE

    I would also prefer the NotesHTTPRequest class be expanded. It needs easier dot notation support, larger number/object support, and clearer documentation. It's allowed us to mostly replace our old third-party JS libraries.
