FIVE YEARS of stubborn ignorance. They do not give a shit for the very basics in this product.
And the asnwers of the responsibles do show a solid non-knowledge of what is out there.
The feature is vital for mobile work, like with the Windows tablet which is in use in many organisations. On Wndows, users needing to sign often use a signature pad via USB so thy use a pencil. and many laptops come now wth touchscreen ability (see many of the Lenovo Thinkpad series or Windows tablets).
For Windows/Desktop versions the same function will require you to use your mouse to 'draw' your signature.
This shouldn't be restricted to Nomad / mobile operating systems. We use Notes on Windows tablets and pens. Any solution should work on the desktop version of Windows and Notes.
This requirement comes up again and again from customers

This would be an amazing feature for a couple of our clients! Please consider doing this!
Had a client ask for this specifically today when discussing a nomad app - its a feature that is definitely needed
This is urgent!
Even Low-Code SAAS solutions support this featue with offline app functionality, too.
This gets my vote too... using Nomad as an extension of an existing application is looking like a great alternative to a new, bespoke development, except that we've not found a neat way to capture a signature. BillK.

Yes please. ASAP for this option.
While this idea is likely to be implemented, I would go for sooner than later. If you are in the service industry, being able to take a customer/client signature on a device rather than paper if of huge benefit.

Yes! This is very popular on other mobile platforms and can have multiple uses and benefits.

A completely new field type will be difficult and not necessary and a RichText field will be sufficient.
I'm not only thinking about a signature, but also about being able to make text notes or sketches directly with the pencil.
It would therefore be good to have additional new field properties for an RichTextfield only for Nomad, for example to set the following:
- Pencil support yes / no
+ Signature only
+ Selector for line thickness
+ eraser
+ brush types
+ colour
...
- the field size (the painting area) on the form
In the Notes client such a field would simply be displayed as a normal rich text field with an embedded graphic.

Can be used for signatures or simple taking some hand-written notes or to drawings with the Pencil.
