Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Seeing this in many forums, as a request, but never any answers....
With the sharp increase in ransomware laden email messages facilitating 3 way attacks, IT Managers and Administrators need ever tool they can get to both protect their networks, their companies reputations as well as their customers. MS Outlook has the ability already. To stay competative with Microsoft I think it would be wise for HCL to add it to Domino.

What about just a field to flag external mails, the rest can be done in the forms (Memo, Reply...) above the body field. Even in inbox and other folders/views it would be possible to indicate external mails.
Done this way there is no need to modify the subject or body and it should be quite easy to control if feature should be used and the optional additional text in preferences and by policy.
Thomas, I am aware that Anti spam gateway can add [EXTERNAL] in subject but then it remain with the entire email chain even though later email being replied between internal users. I know that this feature is in exchange but not sure how it can be achieved in Domino. In below email when I have replied to external vendor, he received the email which marked as [EXTERNAL].

Dear XXXXXXX
I am using Sourceone journalling.

Adding a custom subject can be done at your antispam gateway/provider.
Modifying the email body is not that simple because it can be end to end encrypted.
