what would a restricted setting would do? What error would you return? and how would load-balancers react to it?
the best way would be probably to stop the internet tasks, that should not be available.
NRPC restricted access is there for a different reasons. Admins still need to be able to access the server to maintain it.
This isn't the same for internet protocols.
There is server_restricted = 3 or 4 to also disable replication. beside that only admins have still access.
If you have issues with server restricted, please explain in detail what is not working as intended.
Spot on, its been a pain for years.
Server_Restricted=1 or 2 is horribly useless at the moment. In case of certain types of maintenance I'm forced to call the firewall manager to stop connections to Domino or disconnecting ethernet wires, or hacking the VM and so on.
Please make Server_Restricted work al 100%.
