@Thomas Hampel: Please re-review idea. Seems you misunderstood me. I want to be able to use the Internet Address of a group as the send to (RCPT TO) address in an outgoing mail. It has nothing to do with the mails sender address.

The reasons and scenario for it is explained below.
This scenario:
Domino server Directory with users and groups being created and maintained from an application that connects with the customers Active Directory and makes a one-way synchronization, from AD to Domino Directory. All users of the application are web users. There are no users using the Domino server as their mailserver.
Each group created and populated via the synchronization also gets the same Internet Address as the groups has in the customers AD. The members field is populated with the users Notes address of their corresponding Notes document. The groups are used as access and mail groups both.
As a site note the AD synchronization also creates (and maintains) person documents set up with "Other Internet Mail" and the users AD e-mail in "Forward Address" and "Internet Address" fields.
No other groups in the Domino Directory has an Internet Address only the AD-synched ones has one.
The server is not setup for receiving SMTP, so no mails from outside would be accepted for routing.
Now for the suggestion:
Make it possible to use the Internet Address of such groups as the recipient address for outgoing mails.
a) By using a notes.ini setting.
b) By setting additional options in the mail-routing option on a configuration document.
b1) maybe even add additional server rules to handle such situations.
b2) make it possible to set up outgoing routing rules that allows such and allows us to support more than one recipient mail domain, ie. more than one customer on the same server.

Not really sure how to understand your response. You "explain" how to define the sender of a mail.
When my request is all about using a groups Internet Address as the recipient, not as the sender nor as the reply to address, of an outgoing mail, in a scenario as drawn out above ?
You can define the sender of a mail in the from field when composing the mail. Instead of using the notesdocument.send function you can copy(or drop) the document into the mail.box of the server. Another way is to specify a reply-to address.
Providing a generic configuration somewhere in Domino that will overwrite all sender names by a single outbound address is unlikely to happen.
