ical will drop description if the ical stream comes over with a large size (approximately 50KB)

If user send any skype meeting invite with more than 50 KB description, description is not visible in lotus notes client. I was able to reproduce the issue with notes client and domino version 11 as well. You will only see message "The text in the body of this meeting notice exceeded iCalendar's maximum size limit and was removed. Ask the sender to include the text as an attachment to the body of the meeting notice to avoid this problem". We also have an SPR # BLEE6C2N7T which was raised in 2005 but still not fixed. Screen shot attached for more details. See SPR for exact steps to reproduce the issue.

    Same Problem in 12.0.1 and 12.02 environment.

    Datentyp: Text

    Datenlänge: 25508 Byte

    works. Some little text more and the description is empty.

    This one got me today with a meeting invite from MS teams from a new customer and made the first meetingt pretty awkward. This makes the product feel incompatible in the modern world. Not really a feature request so much as bug in my oppinion.

    I checked on Notes V12 and found that there was no text ( "The text in the body of this meeting notice exceeded iCalendar's maximum size limit and was removed. Ask the sender to include the text as an attachment to the body of the meeting notice to avoid this problem."） to prompt the user and the description was empty, which was worse than the previous version.


    Please consider to fix it in the future release, thanks!

    Microsoft.com and O365 sent emails are affected, so will really appreciate for fast deliver of this functionality or workaround. Vlaad
