Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

By default, new server documents have extremely-conservative settings, and there are all sorts of config options and notes.ini params that knowing admins and DCT will tell you about. I get the value of keeping things eternally backwards-compatible, but it would be great to have an option to indicate that a server should use known best-practice options for a given release, so you don't have to keep up on what the appropriate NIF cache size for V11 64-bit is or manually add the latest "Create_RX_Databases" option, for example.
It'd be all the better to have named optimization modes for specific roles, too, to turn on things like EnableImapFolderSynch
for mail servers or Enable_SNI
for... well, anything with any internet protocols exposed.
