Add a who cannot receive email server security setting

We often have question on how to disable user in Domino (access and email). Disable access can be done with Who can access this server setting but there is now way to disable mail receive other than adding readers in their person document record. It would be much easier if there is a new server setting on who cannot receive email.

Not disabling the email receive would mean that their mailbox size will get bigger as they continue to receive notification sent to group. Taking them out of all group mean that we need to take note of their group membership first so that we can restore it when said user is enabled again.

You can just update the person document and define a mail forwarding address to e.g. a postman email address. in comparison to the previous post above this method will allow to access the mail file without having to look up the file name.

Another way to accomplish this is to change the file name from the user's mail file to a separate database that purges mail on receipt. This sends the mail to /dev/null.
