Prevent copying option does not work with outlook or external domains.

When sending email with prevent copying option, it does not work with microsoft outlook or any other external domains. Customer is looking for an option where no user should be able to forward emails, copy email contents or take printout. Prevent copy works to some extent within notes but does not work if email is configured in outlook via pop3 or IMAP.

This was always a scary (dumb) feature, because it never worked as advertised and gave less tech-savvy users a false sense of security. It was always the case that a reader could grab a screen-shot of an e-mail, or (at worst) use a regular camera to take a picture. The fact that it only ever pseudo-worked when emails went from Notes client to Notes client means it should never have been included in the first place.

I wonder how many sensitive e-mails were leaked into the hands of bad actors because a stupid feature was provided to unsuspecting users by a development team that didn't spend 30 seconds to THINK about what they were doing.

This isn't rocket science. Please REMOVE this feature altogether.

Of course not, because we can not control the behaviour of third party software
