HCL Domino Ideas Portal

Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Mail sent to internal user by enclosing internet address in double quotes should not be delivered and router should inform that the address is invalid

The format mentioned in subject is an incorrect format of email address and doesn't comply to RFC standards.

So when sender tries to send such mail then Notes client/Domino router should check the validity of the address and should reject the message and sender should be acknowledged

about the invalid address format.

Currently, we don't receive such acknowledgement for internal mails, although I notice that for external emails we receive the same. Please consider this validity check mechanism.

Do you have an example of such a malformed address?
