What you can do is to use an agent to clear the HTTP password field if the last change date is greater than X.
The mentioned protocols do not provide a way to tell the client that the password has expired. A password for those protocols is either good or not, whereas HTTP allows to display additional messages and allows to redirect to a pw change website.
This is a big issue
