Provide a feature to find out read time of any mail

Currently if an Administrator wants to know, at what time the particular mail has been read by the user then it is not possible to find it out. This is possible only if the Return Receipt is enabled by the sender at the time of sending mail but if it is not enabled then there is no way to know at what time the user has read that mail.

This need can come when the user rejects that, he/she has read that particular mail before specific time. So there is no proof that, user has read that mail before say 6:00 PM. So there is a feature request to add field "ReadTime" in doucument properties which can confirm Read time with date/time and User ID. This will allow to confirm at what time the mail has been read by any user.

This Enhancement Request is submitted for Domino 12.0.x version.

    While you can do that by nodifying the mail template, any 3rd party mail client will not honor this functionality. e.g. Apple Mail on a smartphone, or an IMAP client or similar.

    Suggesting to add a link to the email that the recipient is requested to click to confirm he has read the message. This link can point to a Domino application (or a Domino Leap app) where you record the recipient name, date and timestamp.

    Closing this idea with no plans to implement
