Add shared mailbox alternate sender functionality to Web/Verse client

The updated shared mailbox in Notes 12.0.2 works very well with alternate sender address, retrieved from the mail-in database resource in Domino directory, as default sender.

It was a disappointment that this did not work when accessed via web (Verse or iNotes).

Would be very fine if this could be updated so it work the same way when messages are created from web client.

With this in place we can soon retire the old OpenNtf template. . .

If we send a mail via Verse from such a shared mailbox, gmail and co. does block this mail due to DMARC policy if the e-mail address has another domain name.

So this is a bug, not a feature to vote for...

Hi Analyn, basically yes - but only for Verse. The link you sen points to the Notes Rich client - which already contains the functionality... but we require it for Verse....

    Hi Analyn,

Thank you for your feedback, but this relates to how it works in Notes client. If it could work the same way in Verse on Web that would be great.

I totally agree - this feature should be implemented asap for a streamlined user experience.

Some customers do not deploy the full Notes-Client to all their users. So they (have to) rely on the features the browser client offers. Nomad would be a possible solution to work around this for now.

I agree that this feature should be cohesive in that what you have enhanced in the rich client should also be the same implementation as the web. Not sure why the rich client would have one implementation and the web client be something different?
