Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

It seemed that CData Connector can only connect to one REST service of Domino, but generally speaking, one REST service only expose one View/Form. How can it replace Notes SQL?
Let's clarify the situation - until resolved, changing the status back to "Planning to implement"
HCL support referred me to a possible option for installing NotesSQL in a PC with HCL Notes installed. The link is in the quoted text below. Essentially, to enable NotesSQL and related ODBC drivers to be installed, change the Notes version number in the registry to downlevel 9.0. I have not tried this yet, but if it works, this could increase the NotesSQL / ODBC life cycle for legacy applications depending on those technologies.
IDEA: Maybe HCL should consider sponsoring custom development for a dedicated HCL Domino 12 Driver.
Referencing CData quote:
I contacted CData support and they provided the following details regarding how CData can interface with HCL. I encourage anyone interested to contact CData.com for additional information.

I have researched this, and while do not have a dedicated Driver for HCL Domino 12, I found they do have a public REST API.
That being the case, then you will likely be most interested in the CData ADO.NET Driver for REST.
To help you accomplish this, we even include a full suite of documentation for the Driver, which has everything from how to properly configure a connection to various REST data providers, to using that information in C# and VB.NET code to connect and work with the data as desired.
For your convenience, I have gone ahead and linked the page for the Driver below along with the referenced documentation:
CData ADO.NET Driver for REST: https://www.cdata.com/drivers/rest/download/powerbi/
Making a Succesful Connection: https://cdn.cdata.com/help/DWG/ado/pg_connection.htm
Using the Connection in C# and VB.NET Code: https://cdn.cdata.com/help/DWG/ado/pg_usage.htm
Please also note that the CData ADO.NET Driver for REST includes a complimentary 30-Day Trial so that you can fully test and evaluate it before making any purchasing decisions.
All that said, if you are interested in sponsoring Custom Development for a dedicated HCL Domino 12 Driver, we would be more than happy to discuss that as well. Just let us know if this is a topic of interest, and we can discuss the matter further.
To help you get the connection underway and configure the necessary properties, you may also like to review the public documentation for the HCL Domino 12 REST API, which I have linked below:

I checked out the cdata.com website. Which database type do they support that will match the Domino database types? I will check out the youtube video and ask cdata which database type to use.
Notes SQL drivers are succeeded by CDATA drivers which are now supporting HCL Domino. https://www.cdata.com/
A demo was done at the Domino V12 launch event: https://youtu.be/FnJ-Z5Zzb0c?t=1662
I see this is likely to implement, any Idea WHEN this will happen? I can't find any download for ANY of the ODBC drivers for Notes, and need one that is 3.5 compliant.
C'mon guys, it is important to make it ODBC 3.5 Compliant !!!
Most calling applications these days are 64 bit and need ODBC 3.5 compliance. Any update to the NotesSQL driver should cater for these requirements.
This will really help users, some of our customers used this to build some crystal reports and BO reports. Is this part of V11
Any updates on this?
Customers wants to upgrade to Notes v10. So, they need a compatible NotesSQL driver for Notes v10. It will help the customers for reporting purpose in Notes v10.
