Can we have Domino Startup Script part of Domino installation so that Domino can start shutdown nice and clean way in AIX or SUSE environment.

Unfortunately, nashcom scripts are not supported with partitionated servers, and I would have to modify them in order to run on AIX with several instances.

My customer is very afraid of using no supported scripts, moreover if he is aware I would have to modify them to adapt them to their enviroment (partitionated servers under AIX). He is really upset with this issue, and told me he would prefer to follow whatever method HCL supports to start/stop Domino on Aix, no matter if there is not so powerful as those scripts.

So, basically, how should I start / stop a Domino Server ? There is NOT even clear instruction on how do it on AIX.

If i run the command /opt/hcl/domino/bin/server from the notesdata directory using the notes user, I am afraid that If I do that way, I may have the risk of the process being stopped when I disconnect from my SSH session (the SSH session I have to open to launch the start command). Any suggested way to launch that command ? Also, to stop the server, should i do a ps -ef | grep notesuser and kill the related process, or is there any other suggested way to do it ?

To be honest, I can not understand how HCL is not having a clear documentation or suggestion on this basic task. I am not aware of any other product not being to be properly stoped/started from the shell...

I think the ask here is that there is a IBM supported method.  The nashcom.de is one that perhaps could be incorporated into the supported build ( we use it on all our instances, works great ).
