Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Need to remove the attachments from body of email

There should be some sort of rule present at server side, which can remove the attachments from the body, when certain conditions are true (like attachment contains *.bat, *.exe etc). The files should be completely stripped off from the mail and the rest of email should be delivered to end user.  This mechanism should be available for both Incoming and outgoing emails.

You can create a rule which would not deliver the email if the attachment file name contains e.g. *.exe :

For encrypted emails this would not work. You can configure a policy for outbound mail so that the Notes client can not even attach files of this type.
